In this project, we were asked to pick a cause, whether it be social, environmental, or political, and make a series of posters and an app advocating awareness for our selected topic. 

I chose to focus on mental health, specifically awareness of stress and anxiety.
I wanted to create something personal to me, and as a person who deals with both stress and anxiety, I thought it would be a good topic.

UX/UI Design • Social Cause Awareness

 

Before doing anything else, I wanted to do some field research on what people would like to see in both a mental health app and a walking app.  

The results of my survey seem to reach the same conclusion: adding a gamification aspect to keep the game interesting. Whether that be daily logins or adding a collection system, many of the results wanted a reason to keep coming back.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the way this project came out. It was very fun to design, and while I was conducting the research for this project, it really opened my eyes to how gamification aspects of an app can engage retention.
