After taking a stance on a relevant social issue, we were required to create a poster centered on it. I wanted to base my project on social anxiety, specifically anxiety in teens and younger children. It’s a topic that not many people acknowledge.

A lot of my research was spent looking into different charities and organizations that specialized in mental health, but mainly anxiety disorders. Some of the main organizations I found were the NHS and the ADAA.

Initially, I wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go in as far as the imagery. I started with sketching more serious concepts to show that anxiety should be taken seriously. In the end, I decided to go with a more light-hearted and silly approach to appeal to younger audiences, as well as parents.

I wanted to demonstrate common symptoms of anxiety that children could potentially be affected by.
