We were asked to design an editorial magazine spread reflecting an article of our choice from the New York Times website.

I decided to choose the article “Accepting Autism” by Leela Upaluri. In this article, the author shares her feelings on the discrimination her brother faces daily and how we should be more accepting of those who are on the spectrum. I felt connected to this article because I could personally relate to the sentiment, as my older brother has autism.

I wanted to include my brother in this project, so the artwork included in the final product was drawn by my brother.
